Have to say I may have had the best drink this weekend, yet I have no clue what it is called. If you go to the Library – yes the bar and not murphy- ask for their birthday drink. It’s a pineapple tropical drink and perfect for the wonderful weather we are having.

Delicious!

Way too much easter candy. Way too much chocolate (and i never thought I’ld say that in my entire life) If you must know – my favorite candy is available at easter time… yep those cadbury eggs will be the death of my every easter time until i die. They are turthfully delicious.

Did you have any easter candy favorites this year? If so, let me know.

If you live up in the Midwest you are really hating the trick that mother nature just played. We had a day where the high was 81 in March and no it’s no even fifty. Well that is despicable!

Hopefully this hot chocolate will help warm you up.

For Very, Merry, Cocoa you will need:

Cocoa
1 oz. Vodka
1 oz. Kahlua
1 oz. Creme de Menthe (white or green, your choice)
1 oz Bailey’s

And of course, Mini-marshmallows

Mix the liquors together in a glass or shaker first. Make cocoa as you normally would (leaving out some of the water/milk), then dump the liquor mix in on top, and stir.

It gives cocoa that kick you need on a cold day.

Pour vodka into a shot glass, layering the cranberry juice on top. Serve.

Happy Monday to you all

I was inspired this weekend to cook something amazing. I was told of the great day my dad, brother, and uncle had out on the lake. They spent the day ice fishing and I realized “hey! it’s lent and fish sounds pretty good.”

Here’s a great recipe

and something good for the eyes.

Happy Birthdays all around! February 27, 2007

A couple of days ago was my birthday and today it is my boyfriends!!!

So for all the Pisces (feb and march) birthdays…

Puppy Dog Cake

RECIPE INGREDIENTS:
4 cups white frosting
2 baked 9-inch round cakes
2 baked cupcakes
Red Fruit by the Foot
1 green Necco wafer
Junior Mints
Small mint patties
Black shoestring licorice
2 blue M&M’s
2 gray Necco wafers

1. Frost the cake rounds and the two cupcakes. Wrap the Fruit by the Foot around the top edge of the cake to make the dog’s collar.
2. For the doggie tag, add a green Necco wafer. Place three Junior Mints on the edge of each cupcake paw, one on the top of the cake for the nose and the rest in a random pattern all around the cake. Fill out the spots with a few mint patties, outline the ears and jowls with the shoestring licorice, and add a fruit-leather tongue.
3. To make a pair of sweet puppy-dog eyes, use a dab of frosting to glue the M&M’s to the gray Necco wafers.

I’m really I have posted in what seems like forever. I’ve been doing some other online blogging. And I’m getting ready for my 21st Birthday! I am very excited!!! So here’s a recipe that I will be trying out on my birthday :

Vodka Sidecar
The Russian Version

1 1/2 oz Vodka
3/4 oz. Triple Sec
3/4 oz. Lemon or Lime Juice

Combine all the ingredients in a shaker filled with ice, shake well and strain into a cocktail glass.

This is different than the original sidecar which uses Brandy.

If you have any suggestions for my birthday celebrations… please post.
